“I should really hit the gym”, you tell yourself – for the hundredth time….

But, today is different. You finally get up and walk through those doors.

You work out. You leave the building.

“This is the start of my new life!”, you say confidently.

But within minutes, you feel normal again.

Where is that empowering feeling from changing?

I hate to break it to you, but changing is boring.

When you hit the gym, the trumpets won’t go off. People won’t cheer.

When you stop that bad habit, no one will cheer. You won’t cheer. You will just have a feeling that you did something different.

The record player of life will keep on playing.
